My system has 256MB RAM. When I use "cat /proc/meminfo", I found that my total memory is 256MB but the memory used is like 247 MB. But all I was running was Gnome and Enlightenment. I check all process and none of them are using big memory. In addition, all my swap space are free. Could someone tell me what is sucking my memory and how to fix it? In addition, how many swap space I should reserve? 512MB (2 times of RAM size)? I appreciate all your help.
