Hello, I would need something like the Adobe Illustrator under Linux and before I will try wine, I would like to know, if there is some alternative. The OpenOffice Draw-program has some of the functionality, but as far as I know only 72 dpi output, so, does anyone know a possibility?
Thanks in advance, JE
If you're like me, NOTHING comes close to Illustrator. I've used Gimp (Photoshop-like) program but my productivity is horrible on it because I don't know all the quick keys and trying to find what I need is a real pain. Gimp is a nice program, but the learning curve is pretty high in trying to become accustom to it after using Photoshop for 10+ years. Illustrator - Here's what I did. Get Codeweaver's Crossover Office...like wine. I run Photoshop, Illustrator, and Pagemaker (when I have to) on it and it works pretty well. Not as smooth as using it on a Windows box, but it's the second best option...plus you won't have any problems with sending the files to printers. www.codeweavers.com Tom -- Tom Nielsen Neuro Logic Systems 805.389.5435 x18 www.neuro-logic.com
