Hello, I am having a problem using wvdial to dial into my ISP - qwest. I am running SuSE 7.1 on an IBM Thinkpad 380D, external US Robotics 56K modem. The problem that I'm having is after wvdial dials the phone, connects with the ISP with no problem, input the username and password fields correctly. At the "command>" prompt, wvdial issues the ppp command. This is where things go wrong. Qwest is expecting one of two things: either send ppp 0.0.0.0 or after sending ppp, Qwest sends back another line that ends in a colon (":"); wvdial thinks this is another login prompt and sends my username again. I have tried several things in the /etc/wvdial.conf without success. If you need more information, please let me know. Thanks in advance for your time and attention. Harlan Bloom harlanb@emsmail.net
