Thanks for the reply Anders.
Okay, I see. Only the owner/user can see the perm's. However, I need to delete the home dir for the user so I can recreate it, but I can't as root, as it keeps complaining about the .gvfs dir. How can I stop fuse so the home dir can be deleted.
Hm, it should have been stopped when the user logged out. I hope you're not trying to delete the home directory while the user is still logged in. Is the directory mounted (check in /proc/mounts)? If it is, you can unmount it as root. ~~~~~~~~~~ I found just that right before you e-mailed. Yes, the user's Documents directory was mounted. Manually unmounted it and the dir was successfully deleted. Many thanks, James -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
