I have to agree with this person...
It has happened to me, and there is nothing you can do about. It seems that if you let the system sit for minute it returns to normal, but I only tried it the last time that it happened.
Everything but the keyboard works... pressing any key produces nothing but a beep, but if you hold the key a couple of seconds, then a letter or two is produced.
Its an interesting problem.
I am running a 2.4 P4, Dell Inspiron 8500 with 512 of memory.

Wonder if its a keyboard buffer overflow, (the shift key might be set to repeat, which of course it should not be). Do you have Switching Options on in the Keyboard Accessibility options, or unusual Khotkeys enabled? I had a problem when i enabled the keyboard layout in Control center to use some additional keys on my keyboard. Finally had to just turn off Keyboard layouts because I could never find the proper match and some keys became dead. -- _____________________________________ John Andersen
