I just completely reloaded Suse 9.1 over the weekend and all was well and now once again the user account suddenly cannot directly log into KDE but forces me into Failsafe.
A Bash window pops up and I have to enter "kde" and then I see multiple error messages (see below).
The only thing I can recall loading of any consequence is Yahoo Messenger and Mozilla 1.8a2. The most recent change was Yahoo.
I went in and changed the permissions on ymessenger, .kde, .mozilla, to my username where it wasn't set that way ... no change.
Here is the xsessionerror log: [...] Help, please?

Doc, If your trouble only starts to happen after you install Yahoo Messenger and/or Mozilla 1.8a2, then that should give you a clue. If a simple install works and works well, trace back to the things you did after the install that might break it. Did you copy all your old settings over? If you have a seperate /home partition, then you haven't changed much for the user. This is one of those you are going to have to track down. New install, bring over a few things at a time until you see what breaks things. I don't think Mozilla 1.8a2 is causing your trouble as it runs well here and with others. Baby steps...
