I have 8.1 pro and Wacom tablet. I managed to "configure" under SAX2, but how do I actually get it responding.. I have PS2 mouse and tablet is USB. How to get it responding, do I have to change mouse setting or what ?
Even though I have an old SummaGraphics serial port tablet, I had the same problem. The tablet did not respond. I do not know how USB works with addresses and devices and such. My problem was that YaST/SAX had set up the tablet to use /dev/ttyS0 (COM1). My tablet was on /dev/ttyS1 (COM2). So X listened for tablet input from the wrong device, and thus never heard all the signals that the tablet sent. I made my tablet work by editing my tablet's 'inputDevice' section in /etc/X11/XF86Config, and then logging out and logging in again. Perhaps you should check your /etc/X11/XF86Config to see if your tablet's 'InputDevice' section is fine. That X is listening to the right device for tablet input. This is my combination of mouse and tablet: Section "InputDevice" Driver "mouse" Identifier "Mouse[1]" Option "Device" "/dev/psaux" Option "Emulate3Buttons" "on" Option "Name" "Autodetection" Option "Protocol" "ps/2" Option "Vendor" "Sysp" EndSection Section "InputDevice" Driver "summa" Identifier "Mouse[3]" Option "AlwaysCore" "on" #Option "Cursor" originally was "Stylus" Option "Cursor" "Puck" #Option "Device" originally was "/dev/ttyS0" Option "Device" "/dev/ttyS1" Option "InputFashion" "Tablet" Option "Name" "SUMMASKETCH" Option "Vendor" "SUMMAGRAPHICS" EndSection What does your mouse and tablet combination look like? Best regards :o) Johnny :o)
