In my RH days, when I wanted to set conditions for a specific user I would use .profile in their home directory. Unless I misunderstand the SuSE boot and login process, the file /etc/profile.local is called when a user logs in and is the place to set conditions for all users, apparently. My question: which file is used to set conditions for a specific user?
