How about we delay a release until it's been properly tested?
It would not work. Most people will not try the distro until it is released, and expect it to work.
Agree, that is how most regular users work.
Why no more volunteers to do testing? Well, it is difficult, you need expertise, you need space in the disk, or an extra computer, etc.
I don't believe "more testers" => "more areas tested" - at best, it might mean "same areas tested more".
You have to entice testers somehow. The advantages a user gets out of testing early are not clear.
Exactly my point, see my recent posting to opensuse-testing. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (6.8°C) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
