Question: Doesn't YAST2 replace synaptic in 8.2? Meaning, I thought with the new YOU, there's no real need for synaptic.???

YOU is more save..... With Apt - Synaptic it's less saver, the updates there are not on YOU !!! The come later, after testing on YOU.
