Yes, I have used many Asus boards (not dozens like you, though), and every one of them ran Linux perfectly and lasted a very long time. In fact, I never had one fail. The only reason I don't still have them is giving them away when they were antiquated. I have 5 systems actively using Asus motherboards right now. The latest system I built used MSI, only because CompUSA happened to have an attractive deal on a MSI board and CPU combo.
