Hi, Then you probably use Kinternet. Check if you have that little connector icon down in the right corner, if not do Alt-F2 -> Kinternet. Click on the icon once and see what happens. Do you get connected? If not, right click on the icon and select View Log. There should be an error. You can send that to the list. Then use wvdial. You can run this command: 'wvdialconf /etc/wvdial.conf' to get a file to work with. Then open the file /etc/wvdial.conf as root and enter values for: phone= #dial-up number username= password= After than you can run 'wvdial' in an xterm to get connected. These lines should be the last lines when you have connected succesfully: --> pppd: Script /etc/ppp/ip-up run successful --> Default route Ok. --> Nameserver (DNS) Ok. --> Connected... Press Ctrl-C to disconnect Check if you can reach some websites from Konqueror now. If this does not work, check if your Firewall is correctly configured if that is activated. Hello.
1) I am unsure which I am using. It is whatever SuSE installed when I installed 8.1 on my system. I do think that I remember seeing a Kinternet window though but not sure. How would I go about finding what I am using and how would I changing to try something else?
2 & 3) I will look more into them when I boot into Linux a little while from now.
Thanks for any assistance that can be provided. James Ruhsam

Hi,
Some questions back:
1) Which program do you use to connect to the internet? Kinternet, wvdial, Kppp? If the one you uses does not work properly, have you tried one of
