Well, this is a G card not a B like you were looking
for. I haven't used it for any significant file
transferring or other bandwidth uses, so I don't know
how fast it will go. I've only used it basically for
wireless internet in my apartment, plus it's the only
G card I have, all the rest of mine are B cards, so I
couldn't test it if I wanted to.
Sorry

Great! That's what I'm looking for :). Price looks right too. BTW - What kind of throughput are you getting with this card?
D-Link DWL-G650 should work straight out of the box. I've got the PCI version of this card (dlink dwl-G520). I turned off my PC, installed the card, booted up Suse 9.2, and it instantly recognized it and helped me configure. I put in my SSID and Key and I was on in about 30 seconds after reboot. The G520 is basically the G650 mounted on a board that fits it in the PCI slot and adds an external antenna, so I
you'd be just fine with that card.

At least Prism seems to be well supported. My
(don't remember the code, but it
uses Prism and supports up to 54 Mbps, so it's rather new) worked right out of the box with SuSE 9.2.

Most likely orinoco cards.
