Hi,
I am new to opensuse. I am enjoying it, in spite of some small problems...
First of all, I think the video driver is not properly set, since in particular windows moving are not doing it in a smooth way.
I have a nvidia quadro 600 and opensuse 12.2 64 bits, and i though it would be nice to install the proprietary drivers.
I found some information on this in this link: http://en.opensuse.org/SDB:NVIDIA_drivers
I followed the one click installation, but it reported some difference between the signed driver and the one I was downloaded. It was stressed that it would be a big risk to download it.
Is the one click procedure above really the best way to procedure?
Thanks, David
There is apparently a certificate issue with the nvidia repository - that was the error message you saw. I just saw it when I opened YaST Software Management as it refreshed the repositories cache. I suggest you hold off a couple of days while it is fixed. I presume you are currently using the nouveau driver. IIRC it now supports some Desktop Effects. Try disabling the effects one at a time to possibly isolate where the problem is, or disabling Effects altogether. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
