Meaning what?
User A all works as expected. You plugin a USB card / key and it asks for the root password.
It is not as simple as that. If I plug in a FAT/NTFS USB stick I can simply click on it and its open, no password asked. If I plug two USBs that contain openSUSE install media, or live media, nothing happens. I tried an USB stick with EXT-4, and no password is requested. I think that it was required in the past. However, mounting internal hard disks seems to require the root password.
User B was for a long time full normal. Worked as A. Suddenly it refuses to open USB keys. It asks for the password but the user cannot see the input window for the rootpassword.
