thats all? is videodev loaded?
yes, all is loaded without errors # modprobe -v gspca insmod /lib/modules/2.6.18.8-0.5-default/kernel/drivers/media/video/v4l2-common.ko insmod /lib/modules/2.6.18.8-0.5-default/kernel/drivers/media/video/v4l1-compat.ko insmod /lib/modules/2.6.18.8-0.5-default/kernel/drivers/media/video/videodev.ko insmod /lib/modules/2.6.18.8-0.5-default/kernel/drivers/usb/media/gspca.ko
Anything in messages if you load the module and plug it in later?
no errors in messages.. .. when I load the module, messages just show this: # tail /var/log/messages Aug 13 11:56:44 acesup2 kernel: Linux video capture interface: v2.00 Aug 13 11:56:44 acesup2 kernel: usbcore: registered new driver gspca Aug 13 11:56:44 acesup2 kernel: /ftp/downloads/gspcav1-20070508/gspca_core.c: gspca driver 01.00.18 registered when I plug the camera, nothing happens.
You are using my packages from the buildservice? You have 10.2_update as source (i guess, otherwise some errormessages should be on loading the module).
I tried to use a pre-compiled (ggspcav1-kmp-default-20070508_2.6.18.8_0.5-12) from update source. Now, I tried to compile the last gspca driver from http://mxhaard.free.fr/index.html, No success yet (messages above are from compiled gspca package ) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
