We still need some more people to "voice" their opinion on this matter. Maybe also post a little info about your audio setup.

no desktop environment at all; PulseAudio with pavucontrol et.al., using it since 11.4. Your recommendation gave a big improvement here; both me and my colleagues very much appreciate it. Joachim PS: This reminds me that I haven't had proper sound device access support since systemd-logind was introduced. According to http://0pointer.de/blog/projects/the-biggest-myths.html myth #22, everything should be controllable from the command line. Maybe I should inquire how to start a new systemd seat from the command line... ;-) But then, probably I will be educated that I'm not supposed to start X from a command line. Because, we all know, command lines are evil... :-/ -- =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Joachim Schrod, Roedermark, Germany Email: jschrod@acm.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
