Yes. LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libv4l/v4l1compat.so /usr/bin/skype gets my video working again.
Still kind of annoying though that that is necessary.
Interesting.. I've installed it here on 64 bit, and I didn't need to use the LD_PRELOAD to have video working. The only complaint I've got so far is that I cannot find a way to get it to ring on the external speakers and have the call audio on headphones like I could (very easily) with the 2.2 release. So far it seems to be and all or nothing... one or the other.
