This is BEFORE the system boots. Sounds like BIOS settings.
I have been updating my system using apt. I did try to update my KDE software two days ago after successfully updating some other packages thanks to help from Franklin Maurer on this list (Thanks Franklin).
In the process it seems that I'v damaged something important. Any ideas on how to proceed?
For starters, what components are in /etc/apt/sources.list?
