I found something unusual today and I'd like to know how/why this is true with Linux and not MickySoft. If one uses the downloadhelper plugin for FireFox 3.01 and while at YouTube you save a video, which has an flv extension, to a wmv extension, the movie will play fine with any Linux video player. If someone using a flavor of 'Bloze does the same the OS sees the file as a flv format and nothing except RealPlayer will play the file. I'm sure someone here has a clue as to what the "real" format of the files are from YouTube, (version of Flash, I think) and why is it that we can save in the wmv format, INCLUDING sending one of these files to others....including 'Bloze users and they play fine in WindowsMedia Player. Thanks, Fred -- Linux is an old Latin word meaning, "I don't have to support your Windows anymore." -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
