Can it be used as a virtual adapter to route a subnet?
I tried the following. I added "route add -net 192.168.1.0 netmask 255.255.255.0 gw 10.0.0.1 dev eth0:VPN1" the routing table also shows it:

As gateway it appears, but does not seem to route the requests to the 192.168.1.0 network when I do a traceroute 192.168.1.22; the adapter with IP 192.168.0.1 seems to answer in stead of the virtual address
10.0.0.1 as I expected.

traceroute 192.168.1.22 traceroute to 192.168.1.22 (192.168.1.22), 30 hops max, 40 byte packets 1 * * * ... 11 * * * 12 * * L103-FW1-AWS (192.168.0.1)(H!) 1476.104 ms
What am I missing?
