We are talking SuSE 6.5 PPC here aren't we, if so then, because I started off with SuSE 6.4 2.2.14 for PPC and haven't downloaded all 20+Mb of lx_suse version 2.2.16 from ftp-SuSE. Here in Australia, T1/E1 lines don't exist. Our telephone companies only use modems between continents!! Anything larger than two tins with string between them costs a fortune. Thats why I downloaded the kernel patches instead (kernel.org) - but they only apply to lx_linux and for some reason yaboot (on PPC) gets confused or something doesn't allow the new kernel to start.
Well, just reverse-apply the patches in CD1:/unsorted/patches/kernel-patches.tgz and you'll get a stock kernel out of lx_suse. -- Michael Hasenstein http://www.suse.de/~mha/ SuSE Linux AG, Nuernberg (Germany) SuSE Inc., Oakland, California (US) -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/support/faq
