Hi Graham, <snip>
Any one got any idea what they mean ?
Pango-CRITICAL **: pango_font_description_set_size: assertion `size >= 0' failed
GLib-CRITICAL **: g_hash_table_insert_internal: assertion `hash_table != NULL' failed
Pango is involved with font handling (mainly with GTK).... I think the first assertion is probably pretty obvious (you are passing a size less font description somehow). The second is less clear (depends what the hash is being used for) but indicates an attempt is being made to set hash table to a NULL value. These could be related... (for more on hash tables read any good computing book).
An assertion is usually used to report an unusual condition in C/C++ and other languages. I think you need to do a little debugging to find out whether your code is generating something it should not...
This type of question is more appropriately directed at the programming list.
I am on a couple of list and they said to ask a SuSE group. No matter thanks for the help anyway. -- Clive. http://homepage.ntlworld.com/c.rogers/ Fighting for darker skies.
