1. Linux 5.2 is base-installed, under default package configuration plus components from 'n' (network) package set. 2. Boot looks fine. named is started (although I am not sure I set up anything for that expllicitly, probably under 'portmap' daemon) 3. eth0 is set up and works fine. 4. ppp0 is set up, both local and remote IP are 0.0.0.0 5. local ping works fine (ovr the LAN segment subnet). Now is the big one. 6. ping to an outside IP returns "Network is unreachable" Log of /etc/suseppp/scripts/ppp-up <provider> returns no errors and shoes 2 IPs assigned (local/remote).
