Hi No conflicts here at all.... I pop out to a VT it's there and working, with both mouse and touchpad, pop back into Gnome and mouse and touchpad all works fine.
That's not the issue. gpm is a service that by default should not automatically run in runlevel 5 because it "can" conflict with the X mouse service. It does not means that it always conflicts, just that by default must not be installed to run at level 5 because sometimes it does conflict. It also means that the administrator of each system needs have the choice to select the levels at which gpm runs, in order to enable it at level 5 or not. And I suspect that systemd refuses that liberty. - -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R.
