I have a system that I have been running in Linux as a workstation for several weeks. I can boot into NT, but unless I have something work related I have no reason to do so. The only MS product I am using on this system is the MS Intellimouse. They used to make a good mouse. Unfortunately this mouse, even though it's brand new, didn't work correctly. The wheel required more normal force to create sufficient friction to get it to roll than it required to get it to click. So every time I tried to scroll with the mouse I ended up with a middle click. Well being the fix-it kinda guy that I am, I took the mouse apart and stretched the springs out so more normal force is now required to get the wheel to click than to get it to roll. The only Microsoft component I with my system didn't work out of the box. The only reason I was able to make it work is because I could get inside and make changes. Funny how that works eh?
