Hi everyone, especially, Raphael, Gerry and George. There is a line missing from the /var/spool/fax/etc/modem.config for class 2 modems (Mine is a Supra 56e). George's HowTo refers to this line: ModemDialCmd: ATDP%s@ Setting up from root under 6.4 and running faxaddmodem does not add this line to the modem.config file. After hours of trying I can now fax at last!
