Hello, S.Toms! This is probably due to EMU10k driver is returning unprecise playback pointer position, as it goes with GUS. I suppose, XMMS fails on using this feature. Thanks, Egor. -----Original Message----- From: skull@primenet.com [mailto:skull@primenet.com]On Behalf Of S.Toms Sent: Monday, March 27, 2000 9:03 AM To: SuSE Linux English; egm@csie.nsys.by Subject: [SLE] xmms strangeness This is for anyone using the emu10k1 sound driver, I'm wondering whether xmms is behaving strangely for you. I switched from a SB16 (sb module) to an SB Live (emu10k1 module) and when a song finished in xmms the counter numbers start flashing and it doesn't move to the next song. If I let it sit for a while, like 5-10 min, then it finally jumps to the next song. These are all songs that I have been using for a while so it's not them doing it. I have also tried reinstalling xmms with same results as well as using the emu10k1 package that comes with suse and using the kernel patch acquired from creative's site. Again with the same results. All other sounds seem to work fine, it only seems to affect xmms somehow, but why I havn't figured out as of this time.
