Hello, KDE is freezing up 5% into the process of restoring a session. So I start a Gnome session which works except that the main Application menu list is blank. If I scroll down the blank list the sub menus do appear. I used the sub menu's to find the KDE session manager and change the 'restore session' option to 'start new session'. When I hit 'apply' the system reboots! It also reboots if I hit the close window icon on my kmail window. Also I can no longer use my keyboard to choose another operating system or to start in safe mode, even from the SuSE CD. the keyboard only works after the booting process starts and the usb system register the keyboard. I have been updating my system using apt. I did try to update my KDE software two days ago after successfully updating some other packages thanks to help from Franklin Maurer on this list (Thanks Franklin). In the process it seems that I'v damaged something important. Any ideas on how to proceed? Thanks, Jerome
