I should disable the suport for standard/generic serial suport ?

No - if you have it as M (module) try changing this to compiled-in. You don't need the extended serial options unless what you're doing is covered in the option's help. You only need most of this stuff if you have, for instance, multi-port serial cars running terminals, modem banks etc. generally I compile in generic serial support, VT's, console on VT, Unix PTY and uncheck the rest.
