Hey list,
I was wondering if anybody's ever thought about doing a web based java irc client to allow people to join IRC without a client? I know Ubuntu has one in place and recieves a lot of hits. Anybody know if this has ever been talked about? Are there bigger problems than i'm seeing with this? I'd take the time to look/code if you guys think it's worthy.
Hi, Java has the draw back that it would still run on your own client and thus have to pass through the firewall. What might be interested though are sites like http://www.mibbit.com, which serves quiet much what you're looking for.
