This is truely (next to missing overview on thousands of docs) the largest disadvantage with linux.
It is quicker to fix the Windows because you know the OS better. When you get to know Linux as well, then you will probably find that you can resolve problems just as fast if not faster. Since it seems like every little adjustment in Windows requires reboot, where as Linux seems to be better about fixing and tuning on the fly.
