I'm surprised to hear that. I thought about moving /home back to ext4 or to experiment with btrfs because I'm extremely unsatisfied with XFS at the
moment, with the same system setup and use-case as for ext4.
The xfs mailing list is unbelievably responsive to end user questions, especially those that relate to performance tuning. If you are having issues I suggest you go straight to the horse's mouth.
