I posted this on the apt4rpm-suse list earlier but I haven't received a response yet. Can someone please help me here ? I just installed apt-0.5.5cnc6-rb3.i386.rpm on my SuSE 8.2 box. Once I had it installed I executed apt-get update to update the database and then I executed apt-get upgrade. This gave me a listing ... '232 packages upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 removed and 44 not upgraded'. I said yes to continue and everything seemed to be going well until 'Executing RPM (-Uvh)..." came up. Now it appears that I have something like 30 plus file conflicts and the message 'E: Sub-process /bin/rpm returned an error code (250) So .. questions.. 1. How can I show the output of what I am seeing as an error, in case anyone wants to see exactly what I am seeing? 2. How do I resolve these conflicts? 3. What is Error 250 and where can I go to find out more about errors and problem solving with apt? 4. The site (http://linux01.gwdg.de/apt4rpm/apt4suse.html) states that apt works best on clean systems. How do I get my system to such a state? Do I really have to reinstall? Thanks for your help. -=Thinker
