I'm not exactly sure what you are asking however - locally - deleted messages are moved to Trash folder, but, nothing like that is set far AT&T servers. I don't know about AT&T, but Yahoo just moves messages to trash and eventually deletes them. Otherwise, you have to log in with web mail and manually delete those messages. AT&T is actually run by Yahoo - and - I don't want them there at all !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Duane, do you understand that e-mail at its very core is a "store and forward" service?
If you don't want your mail stored on a server, then you can't use e- mail. Or, best case, you set up your own e-mail server and domain, and require that those who e-mail you only connect to the SMTP port on your server (ie, do not accept relayed e-mail at all).
I guarantee you that the e-mails you've sent to this list are stored on Yahoo!'s servers, Google's servers, Earthlink's servers, AT&T's servers, etc, etc, etc, etc - because that is the nature of e-mail.
Yelling at people and replying with multiple exclamation points out of frustration is not going to change the fundamental principles of HOW E- MAIL WORKS.

Jim: Duaine has been around long enough that he doesn't need a lecture on how email works. He knows that. Don't be condescending. What he wants is that his email is deleted when he hits the delete button. That is not too much to ask is it? For the Record, Gmail gives you an option on how this works. You can set it in the Settings of the web interface here: https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/#settings/fwdandpop It can be set to go to Gmail's archive, or trash or be immediately deleted forever. This can happen for either Pop access or Imap access. Much as people like to rant against Gmail, they really give you a great deal of control, and their Imap actually works, unlike Yahoo's which sometimes almost works. -- _____________________________________ ---This space for rent--- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
