Thank you, this did the trick! Almost the same suggestion arrived to me from Paul C. as well in private.
Regards, Pelibali if you can get to the above mentioned directory and log in as root. You can use rm c* (at least on my system all the files there start with a c. them change directory to the /tmp in the cups directory and clear all the entries
