Guy,
this is the setup I used to get masquerading working under 6.4 with a modem
dialup
Edit the following line in the file /etc/rc.config
IP_FORWARD=yes
I then made a file /etc/rc.d/rc.firewall
ipchains -F forward
ipchains -A forward -j MASQ -i ppp0
/sbin/insmod ip_masq_ftp
Make that file executable
thats the basic setup
hope it helps
Paul

Hello everybody
I installed SuSE 6.4 on my system (temporarily next to my running 6.1 version). But I found one thing missing.
I use IP masquerading to make my computer a router for my home network (to the Internet). In the past, I've always used a script masquerade (in /etc/rc.d), controlled from rc.config that was created by SuSE itself. But this seems to be gone from 6.4.
Does anyone know what has happened, and what I can use to replace the missing script?
Thanks very much.
