At the end of http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Bugreport_X it tells how to test the latest X11. In addition to specifying the latest X in:
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/X11:/XOrg/openSUSE_XX.X/
it suggests using the latest kernel in:
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/Kernel:/HEAD/openSUSE_XX.X/
In my setup, I have only been using the X repo to get new X versions. Even though these are happy to install with the kernel I have, could this be a cause of some issues I am seeing with nvidia? Does everyone else who uses the X repo above also use the Kernel repo above? In my case, XX.X is 11.2.
Hi Roger, What happens if you install only packages from the 'customarily supported' or 'intentionally-packaged-for' 11.2 repositories? If you install packages from outside that arena, how likely is it that you'll find people here with specific knowledge of your unique combination of packages? FWIW, I've found over the years that it is much, much easier to stick to packages (and, by extension, repositories) that are explicitly stated to be 'ready for prime time' for my distribution.
