I want to try out the Vmware that is on the Suse 7.2 disks. When you load it, it asks for a license. Going to their site does not give an option for a trial on this express version.
Where do I go to get a trial license?

VMWare Express does not have a trial version. If you want to play with a trial version you have to register with VMWare, and download the full version from their web site. Last I tried it out, you got a 30 day trial license. After the 30 days are up, it stops working.
The Express version is quite nice - I use it daily on my system to run things like my banking software (only a Windows version available), and play the odd Windows game. You can only install Win95/98 into it, and it only runs under Linux. The full version covers pretty much anything that will run on the x86 processor. Another difference is the price. The full version is a lot more expensive than the Express.
VMWare has stopped development on the Express version, so keep that in mind. They are focussing all efforts on the full version. Express works fine as it is, but it will not be taken any further than it is right now.

On SuSE disks, as far as I know, the VMWare software is workstation, not express. For workstation Yu get the licence at http://www.vmware.com/SuSE
