Hello listmembers, ok, I got it done now. The email is apparently related to a different issue - but for a non native speaker it is not that easy to understand that SUSE is approaching you around the very same time on two paths with different targets (seemingly). Most specifically as the emails content did not specify anything but a "password change for your new account" - it is by no means clear that this account should differ from the one I already had / from the request on the bugzilla page (honestly I even did not check on bugzilla as there was an email stating that there is a pending request so I related them). The white box actually allowed me to change the passwort and it looks like this was it. Thanks to everyone who tried to support me.
