I keep the "minimum" of repos active while doing the dup. That is, oss, non-oss, updates, and packman. If, for instance, I have made updates to the desktops, I remove those. But I use packages that are only on extra repos, I keep those enabled. The thinking is that removing packman will make zypper try to change repos and post a thousand questions if I'm sure. Similarly for extra repos, those packages may disapear or be kept depending on the questions.
