So I would like to make a full backup of my Hard Drive to an other hard drive (usb), but only for file smaller than - say - 500Mo
what is the simpler (and faster, still more than 100Gb to backup) way to do this?
find + tar/cpio.
Backup to an external HD via USB usually works better with rsync. This two parameters would do the trick, I hope: --max-size=SIZE don't transfer any file larger than SIZE --min-size=SIZE don't transfer any file smaller than SIZE that would have to be added to the normal set of parameters, like for example "--archive --acls --xattrs --hard-links --del --stats - --human-readable" - -- Cheers, Carlos E.
