I was surprised to see that the generate-modprobe.conf script in modutils-2.4.25-50 on the SuSE 9.0 CD1 was exactly the same as the one in the latest module-init-tools. I used it to generate a new /etc/modprobe.conf, but that doesn't work completely, so I've modded the one that is part of aaa_base-9.0-6 to include alsa and my 8139too module, but I have yet to test it out. I need to generate /etc/modprobe.conf file, but generate-modprobe.conf script is not included with my current modutils-2.4.26-1 package. Many thanks in advance,
Alex
I'm surprised, it is in the 2.4.25 package in directory /sbin Anyway you can find it at ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/people/kraxel
