I am using the packages from 11.2, but I really WANT SCPM back. I hope that if we are many, scpm packages will be released again.
There are packages available in the openSUSE buildservice. It's just that scpm's developer left Novell and nobody else is interested in maintaining it anymore as the (perceived) user base seems too small. Just a quick note, as this issue is also close to my heart. The user

I, for one, would gladly create a bug in Novell's Bugzilla to ask for a return of SCPM. When you often move between networks (which is my case: home, office, customer sites), SCPM is the *only* way to keep a fully working config in all cases (by fully working config, I mean with email, printing, etc.).
What's the status of this, any change? I also use profiles, but as I haven't installed 11.3 except for some testing, I hadn't noticed it had been dropped - yet. It is one of those basic SuSE things I had taken for granted. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 11.2 x86_64 "Emerald" GM (Minas Tirith))
