I have installed KDE2 on my SuSE 6.4 system, and really don't have any complaints except for one.
While logged on as a regular user, I can't use my cd-rom drive. If I try to mount it, it says I don't have permission. KSCD just sits there without ever recognizing the audio CD in the drive.
I'm just at a loss as to where to look. It works fine if I log in as root, or start kde1, gnome, icewm, etc. But NOT under KDE2.
Have a look at where KDE2 is looking for the CD-ROM drive and the mount point. The KDE2 RPMs are not fully adjusted to SuSE Linux yet (we are working on that for the next distribution) - I guess it is not using /cdrom as the mount point.
