--force-rpm Rpm option --force.
OK, I understood about the 'force', but was hesitant to use as I do not understand fully the consequences. I made the install and everything *seems* ok, xfce4 is available and runs and nothing else burped except:
1:dbh ########################################### [ 6%] /sbin/ldconfig: relative path 1' used to build cache error: %post(dbh-1.0.15-2) scriptlet failed, exit status 1
This is an error from rpm...
and:
apt executing: /sbin/ldconfig W: Some errors occurred while running transaction
That's because rpm errored
Subsequent initiatin of SuSEconfig and ldconfig completed w/o any errors.
dbh shows successful install and from what I see in the rpm, the post script is just an echo of text:
echo "Libraries has been placed in %{prefix}/lib" echo "Headers have been placed in %{prefix}/include"
I would expect to see /sbin/ldconfig there...
Is this something to worry about? I would think not!
I prefer to see no errors..... but as your system seems to run fine, I wouldn't worry. -- Richard Bos Without a home the journey is endless
