To be honest, I have no idea what these priority numbers mean or do.
if i understood correct, it will be a automatic selection of the highest number -> for this i need the file where this number is in. to change the "35" for (my) lightdm back to 15 help in yast will tell me that the numbers where designed from the packed managers to make usefull standards for the system.

a few hints to find a solution: 1. all that jazz is "managed" by update-alternatives 2. list all the files / dirs of the "update-alternatives" package: #> rpm -ql update-alternatives 3. there should be a directory listed, outside of /etc/... , in older Leap 42 versions, it was "/var/lib/rpm/alternatives/" 4. in this directory there should be a file default-displaymanager or similar 5. in this (text-)file the displaymanagers and their priorities are listed 6. edit to your liking and check again. NOT nice, but it works (or at least worked on the last Leap 42 system I had to modify). If anyone knows the "offical way" to (re-)assign prio numbers, please tell. - Yamaban. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
