gdbm and db have nothing to so with SSL. They are small database
libraries. Check to see if you have them installed, "rpm -q db" and
"rpm -q gdbm".

I am trying to install courier IMAP from the latest tar ball and I am getting a "error cannot find gdbm or db library" when I run the configure script.
I have updated my system with the latest openssl tar balls and have installed them. According the install faq for courier, this is a common problem and doing a CCPFLAGS="-I/usr/local/ssl/include" LDFLAGS="-L/usr/local/ssl/lib" export CPPFLAGS export LDFLAGS and then running the config should fix this... It doesn't :( Does anyone out there have a fix to this? I need to run courier because of it's Maildir and qmail integration. This works fine on rh7.1 and I really don't want to have to tell my company we have to run redhat...
