Hi I need some help because my Keyboard isn't working anymore in X11! It works fine in text-mode, but not in graphic mode (Nothing at all, but Alt+F1...) . I have Suse 10.0 and can suddenly change the virtual consoles with Alt-F1 (F2, ...) instead of CTRL-Alt-F1. I am not yet used to Linux so please help me to solve the Problem in a simple way. Maybe I schould mention that I'm using a Keyboard optimised for german language. One possibility is that the xorg.conf is corrupted. I would suggest that you change your run level to run level 3. You can do this from a virtual console as root: /sbin/init 3 Once you do this, then run sax2. Sax2 is the utility that will set up the xorg.conf file. Once you do this and save your changes, the try running startx(1) and see if your keyboard works. If it does, exit that X session (ctrl-alt-backspace) and return to run level 5.
This all assumes that your keyboard itself is ok and it is connected
properly.
