that looks really helpful (for other things as well). thx! The only question is how do I get card manager started? when I start pcmcia, it says "unused" (this is a desktop, not a laptop and the card it's self is an all in one pci card, not a pci-pcmcia adapter). I am trying to get a LinkSys WMP11 Wireless network card working with SuSE 8.0. I have the wireless lan tools installed and the prism2_pci module loaded. When I run ip addr i find there is a wlan0 device with no IP address and ifconfig can not bring up the eth0 interface. I have a funny fealling that if I can get PCMCIA to think the desktop is a laptop it should work. The problem is that when I start pcmcia (rcpcmcia start) it comes back with "unsused". If anyone has any help for me I (and my mother who hasn't had a computer for three weeks:) would greatly appreciate it. Also, if anyone knows of any Wireless PCI cards that do work, I am all ears.
